It won't turn me into a soccer fan, but I love love love the name and logo of the area's forthcoming MLS franchise: The Inquirer reported yesterday that the team that will begin play in Chester in 2010 will be called the Philadelphia Union, with a preliminary graphic mark that includes the city's colors, a coiled snake reminiscent of the defiant "Don't Tread on Me" flag, and 13 stars, representing the original colonies.
Pretty cool stuff.
