I have a problem of Olympian proportions: I am nowhere near as into the 2010 Winter Olympic Games as I feel I should be. I know that The World Is Watching. I know that America's Greatest Athletes Are Striving for Olympic Gold. I know that every athlete there has a charming back story meant to entice me to fall in love for the 45 seconds or so he or she is on-screen.

Time for a little shifting around here at Poor Richard's Scorecard. Recently I became aware that Examiner.com, a national blogging network that's developing a presence in various regions around the country, was in need of Philadelphia sports bloggers. I applied and, lo and behold, they brought me on board. Welcome!
As an Inquirer subscriber and longtime local blogger, I'm happy to have a younger, less ossified voice spilling ink in the region's paper of record. You have a week's worth of columns under your belt by now, so the rest of us are getting a feel for what we can expect out of you: Sports and pop culture mixed together, to be sure, with more irreverence than is usually seen in the Inky's pages. A Philadelphia-oriented Bill Simmons, if you will, which is rather what lots of us here in the Phlogosphere have aspired to.
